Year in Review
2025 was a year of purposeful action and defining milestones. Explore key highlights in this year’s overview.
For Team USA athletes, the path to the podium is forged in the work no one sees: in the training sessions, recovery days and preparation between the spotlight moments. That’s why in 2025, the USOPC prioritized the work that helps Team USA thrive year over year. Carrying forward the momentum of Paris 2024, athlete support became more connected, visible and embedded across the full athlete journey.
That approach came to life through U.S. Speedskating. At the 2025 International Skating Union World Speed Skating Championships in Hamar, Norway, Team USA earned six medals, including a gold in the men’s team pursuit and three individual medals from Jordan Stolz. Behind those performances was not only the dedication and hard work of individual athletes, but also coordinated investments across physical and mental health, recovery, data analytics and performance technology. Through close partnership between USOPC and National Governing Bodies, 2025 became a year defined by podium finishes and a more integrated approach to athlete care and competitive excellence.
I am so thankful for all the resources from the USOPC. I personally have leveraged the Ombuds office, athlete development and engagement, Team USA Athletes’ Commission – every resource I could. We need athletes to feel we’ve got their backs no matter what… because I promise you, you cannot do this unless you feel that support.
