In 2025, the USOPC focused on how it shows up for athletes every day – whether they are training, recovering or at the height of competition. That meant working more closely with National Governing Bodies (NGBs), further aligning how athlete services are delivered and making intentional decisions about where resources can have the greatest impact.

These efforts led to stronger coordination and clearer direction as Olympic and Paralympic teams continued to come together, and partnerships with NGBs deepened. New initiatives raised the bar for athlete support, from establishing the first baseline of athlete financial support to advancing Paralympic sport management integration into NGBs with their Olympic counterparts. For members of the U.S. Paralympics Cycling team, joining USA Cycling meant more than a structural shift. It enabled training best practices to be shared more seamlessly and increased visibility for Paralympic sports. For Paralympic gold medalist and world champion Samantha Bosco, it meant joining a more unified program, with greater access to shared resources, expertise and opportunity.

At the same time, the USOPC expanded its focus beyond competition to the systems behind current and future Team USA athletes. Integration not only enhanced athlete support, resources and innovation, it also helped more athletes see what is possible and strengthened pathways into both Olympic and Paralympic sport. More than 200,000 coaching courses were completed, adaptive sport gained visibility through NCAA partnerships, and advocacy helped sustain Olympic and Paralympic opportunities across collegiate sports.

These efforts improved the athlete experience for Team USA today, while building momentum for continued success in the years ahead.
