  • What Drives Our Impact

Inspiring performances define a moment. They instill pride, unite communities and remind people why sport matters. But the work required to reach those moments – often decades in the making – is what powers a Movement. It’s the coaches, healthcare providers and support teams working alongside athletes every day. It’s the training centers, recovery programs and performance resources that power excellence over time. In 2025, the USOPC invested in the work leading up to these unforgettable moments: the people, programs and resources that make Team USA a global force.

Building on the attention, engagement and optimism sparked in Paris, the USOPC carried that momentum forward with greater focus and alignment in 2025. As preparation accelerated for Milano-Cortina 2026 and the United States moved closer to hosting Los Angeles 2028 and Utah 2034, the organization advanced a more connected and athlete-centered Movement.

That work reached athletes in tangible ways, including through:

    • More integrated health and performance services that improved athlete preparation, recovery and overall well-being.
    • Expanded financial support and career resources that strengthened long-term stability during and after competition.
    • Investments in technology, research and innovation that sharpened Team USA’s competitive edge heading into Milano-Cortina 2026.
    • New philanthropic investments, including the Stevens Financial Security Awards, that directed more resources to athletes than ever before.
    • Closer collaboration with National Governing Bodies (NGBs) that expanded access to shared expertise, performance support and athlete development resources across the Movement.
