Unlike most National Olympic Committees, the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee does not receive federal funding for its Olympic programs. Instead, it relies on the generosity of the American public to help U.S. athletes remain competitive with the rest of the world. Our nation stands apart from others because our Olympic and Paralympic Teams are not just cheered by an enthusiastic national fan base, but funded by one. As you watch Team USA athletes achieve their dreams, you will do so knowing that you played a critical role in their journey.
Enabled through the generosity of U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Foundation supporters, the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee supports 55 National Governing Bodies of Sport (NGBs), collaborating to ensure that Team USA athletes have the resources they need to succeed on the world stage.
This takes many forms, including high performance services to direct athlete stipends and grants, which help offset the significant costs of training, travel and competition. These investments fuel the journey of our nation’s elite athletes and empowering them to reach their highest potential.
Over the next decade, the United States will welcome the world for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles and the 2034 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in Utah, with stops in the French Alps in 2030 and Brisbane in 2032. Two home Games will provide the opportunity of a lifetime: a platform to inspire a new generation and to share the values of sport with the communities that comprise this incredible nation.
In Los Angeles, in 2028, this work becomes tangible. It unfolds in the people, places and moments that surround the Games, offering a clearer line of sight between generosity and impact across the athlete journey.
Designed to be a platform for creativity, self-expression and inclusion, the LA28 emblem represents a collection of voices, rather than a singular monument or landmark. Anchored with a bold and static L, 2 and 8, the LA28 emblem allows for an exceptional spectrum of stories with an interchanging dynamic 'A'.
