About
The Colorado Springs Olympic & Paralympic Training Center (CSOPTC) is a world-class training venue for Team USA athletes. Facilities include an Olympic-size swimming pool, indoor shooting range, velodrome, multi-purpose gymnasiums/courts, strength and conditioning gym, wrestling gym and boxing gym. From long-term to short term camps, clinics and resident programs, the CSOPTC provides a community that focuses on the full athlete experience, including a performance dining hall that caters to athletes offering a wide range of culinary styles to fuel their training, as well as a sports medicine clinic and science lab.
Venues#
The Colorado Springs Olympic & Paralympic Training Center features several venues capable of accommodating a wide variety of sports. The CSOPTC is dedicated to the maintenance, safety, and setup of all sport equipment and works closely with NGBs to evolve with sport by learning new rules, regulations, and setups to ensure the training center is ready to host the world’s best athletes. The training center also has multiple meeting rooms of various capacities to support events ranging from meetings to receptions.
Aquatic Center
The 45,000 square foot center contains a 50-by-25-meter swimming pool, ranging from two meters in depth at both ends and three meters in the center. The 909,000 gallon body of water features two moveable bulkheads and is configured for ten 50-meter lanes. In addition to the Olympic-sized pool, the Aquatic Center features a spa onsite, as well as a five-lane, 25-yard seasonal outdoor pool. In addition to hosting aquatic sports, the facility is also utilized by other athletes for cross-training.
Gymnasiums
The CSOPTC has multiple gymnasiums and multi-purpose spaces to meet the needs of a variety of sports and training.
Velodrome
The U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Center Velodrome is the official training venue for U.S. Olympic and Paralympic cycling teams. The Velodrome is a 333.3-meter banked cement cycling track and is one of the fastest velodromes in the world with many world records set here over the years. It is also host community programming.
Meeting Spaces
In addition to the several sport venues, the CSOPTC has multiple meeting rooms of various capacities and numerous setup options. From boardroom style that seats 10 to theater style that seats 300, the CSOPTC can accommodate your meeting space needs.

Athlete Life & Programs#
The Colorado Springs Olympic & Paralympic Training Center offers a Resident Program which allows approved athletes to live on-complex in the resident dormitories or off-complex in the local community. Athletes accepted in the Resident Program are eligible to utilize OPTC facilities and services throughout the year.

Operations#
The Operations Department oversees all short-term programming and camps at the CSOPTC. We manage an average of 500 short-term programming and 15,000 athletes each year. The Operations Department assists National Governing Bodies with all logistics of their camp/program at the OPTC.
The Operations Department also oversees the Athlete Center Registration Desk. The Registration Desk is the main hub of the CSOPTC. The staff will assist each guest with checking in and out, answering any questions, and pointing you in the right direction for any of your needs during your stay.
Dining#
The Colorado Springs Olympic & Paralympic Training Center caters to athletes offering a wide range of culinary styles to fuel their athletic pursuits. With an emphasis on providing balanced and nutritious meals, the training center incorporates elements from different cuisines to meet the dietary needs of athletes from different backgrounds.
Whether it's fueling up for an intense workout or recovering after a grueling training session, athletes can find a variety of options to suit their tastes and dietary preferences while ensuring that athletes receive the necessary nutrients to enhance their performance. We work closely with our sports dietitians, and we strive to meet athlete special dietary needs.
Hours of Operation

11:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m.: Lunch
2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m.: Snack Period

- Use the provided cubbies to store backpacks and luggage.
Ensure that you adhere to the dress code guidelines. Refrain from wearing swimsuits, wet clothing, swim towels, bare feet, and bike cleats.
Make sure your badge grants you meal access for entry into the dining hall.
Keep all food within the dining hall premises.
Obtain prior approval for using to-go boxes and avoid removing dishes, glasses, and silverware from the dining hall.
Only guests of resident athletes are allowed to purchase meals.
Hand sanitizer stations are available throughout the dining hall for your convenience.
Para Athletes can request trays if needed.
Instead of reusing dirty dishes, opt for using new disposable plates, and when finished, please place them in the dish carousel.
Please leave your table clean for the next customer by clearing any leftover food or trash.
These hints will help promote a positive and respectful dining experience for everyone in the hall.
Transportation#
Transportation Services at the CSOPTC provides arrival and departure shuttles between the OPTC and the Colorado Springs Airport for all OPTC guests. Transportation for training venues within the local area can also be provided as needed. The Transportation department has several vehicles that are equipped for guests with wheelchair requirements.

Operations FAQs
You can expect dormitory-style living with shared common spaces with other camps/sports
Most dorms are double occupancy, so you will more than likely share with a roommate from your same sport
Your NGB will assign you your roommate
Each bed has full linens (bed sheets and comforter), along with two pillows per bed, TV with cable, one in-room sink, clothing dresser, landline phone, and Wi-Fi
That is up to you
Each guest is provided with the following:
One bath towel, one hand towel and one washcloth
Toiletries consisting of travel-sized shampoo, conditioner, and lotion, along with a bar of soap
Each building has a laundry room
Laundry is free but you must provide your own laundry detergent, dryer sheets and/or fabric softener
Each building also has a common lounge/rec space for guests to gather
Guests should bring medication, additional toiletries, clothing, sport equipment and any other items required by your coach/parents/sport
Guests over the age of 12 are allowed to stay on complex.
All guests ages 18 and older must have a background check on file with your NGB and be SafeSport certified prior to arrival.
International guests are welcomed at the OPTC
All requests must be submitted via the NGB prior to approval

IN: Upon arrival, please check in at the Athlete Center Registration Desk. Check in begins at 3pm.
OUT: Please be sure to scan the badge on the checkout scanner located on the gray wall next to the front desk in the Athlete Center. Check out time is 9am.
Walgreens is a short half mile walk from campus
Always be sure to have approval from your coach/NGB prior to leaving complex
Additionally, we have a few additional toiletry supplies at the front desk
Mail services are also provided at the OPTC, so you can have something shipped to you depending on your length of stay
