Team USA Athlete's Commission Announces Board Vice Chair Transition
Team USA Athletes’ Commission, the voice of Team USA athletes, announced today that Vice Chair Greta Neimanas will step down from her position effective August 17, 2025, after accepting a new position with the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency’s Education team.
Neimanas joined Team USA AC Leadership in 2021, after serving as a representative on the Athletes’ Commission since 2013. She is a two-time Paralympian (2008, 2012) and two-time world champion in para-cycling (2013, 2015).
“Greta has been an invaluable member of the Athletes’ Commission for over a decade and an important voice in leadership for the last four years,” said Team USA AC Chair Joel Rosinbum. “Among her many accomplishments, she has been a tireless advocate for clean sport, representing athletes on the WADA Athletes' Commission. While her presence and voice will be missed, we look forward to her continued advocacy on behalf of athletes in her new position. On behalf of Team USA AC, I want to thank Greta for all that she has done to move our movement forward and I wish her the very best in her new endeavor.”
Team USA AC will hold a special election at the USOPC Assembly in September to fill the Leadership vacancy.
“Serving my fellow athletes has been an incredible honor and I am proud of the work that we have done over the last ten years on behalf of past, present and future Team USA athletes,” said Neimanas. “While I’m sad to step away from Leadership during my term, I leave knowing that Team USA AC is in great hands with talented representatives and leaders. I’m excited to continue my work on behalf of athletes in my new role with USADA. I love Team USA, and the athletes will always hold a place in my heart.”
