PREVIEW

The upcoming Milano Cortina Olympic Winter Games could become a moment etched in history for Team USA as the U.S. Biathlon Team aims to win America’s first-ever Olympic medal in the sport. With 11 medal races in six different disciplines scheduled from February 8-21, there will be no shortage of biathlon action in Antholz-Anterselva, Italy at the iconic Südtirol Arena.

Leading the charge is 23-year-old Campbell Wright, already one of the sport’s brightest young stars. Wright captured two World Championship silver medals in the men’s sprint and pursuit, earned the U23 Globe as the world’s top under-23 male athlete, and delivered multiple top-10 finishes throughout the 2024-25 season, establishing himself as a serious contender for the first-ever U.S. Olympic biathlon medal. The U.S. men’s relay team has also been knocking on the door of a podium finish, posting several top finishes over the past two seasons, proving their ability to challenge the world’s best. On the women’s side, Deedra Irwin and Chloe Levins bring veteran experience and skill, assets in both the women’s and mixed relays. Irwin, who made headlines with her historic 7th place individual finish at the 2022 Beijing Olympics, is aiming to raise the bar even higher in 2026.

The upcoming 2026 Olympic biathlon schedule includes the mixed relay (2 men and 2 women) on Feb. 8, men’s individual on Feb. 10, women’s individual on Feb. 11, men’s sprint on Feb. 13, women’s sprint on Feb. 14, men’s and women’s pursuits on Feb. 15, men’s relay on Feb. 17, women’s relay on Feb. 18, men’s mass start on Feb. 20, and women’s mass start on Feb. 21.
