2025 Media Summit: Luge

Final team selection depends on earned International Luge Federation (FIL) quota, which are awarded to the National Olympic Committee and are gender specific. Results from World Cup races contested (as determined by the FIL) between October 1, 2025, and January 12, 2026, will be used to nominate athletes to Team USA. All athletes/doubles teams must compete in the Fall 2025 National Seeding Races Series to be eligible for nomination to the Team. USA Luge expects to name the 2026 MiCo Olympic Team on or around January 12, 2026.

2025 World Championships bronze medalist Emily Fischnaller will be back this season and is in contention for her third Olympic Games. The two-time Olympian is now married to Italian luge athlete Dominik Fischnaller. In men’s singles, three-time Olympian Tucker West is vying to attend his fourth and final Winter Games, as he plans to retire following the 2025-26 season. With women’s doubles making its debut in Cortina, be on the lookout for Chevonne Forgan and Sophia Kirkby. The duo earned seven World Cup medals last season, including a gold medal at the Lillehammer World Cup, and were the World Championship bronze medalists in 2024. For men’s singles, 2022 Olympians Zack DiGregorio and Sean Hollander and three-time Junior World Cup champions Marcus Mueller and Ansel Haugsjaa are both strong contenders for the Games.
