After missing out on qualifying for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, the U.S. Women’s National Field Hockey Team punched their ticket to the Olympic Games Paris 2024 this past January. At the FIH Hockey Olympic Qualifier in Ranchi, India, the No. 15 United Eagles entered the event as one of the lowest ranked teams. In the first pool match the team upset hosts, No. 6 India, (1-0) and went on to beat No. 19 Italy (2-0). The team defeated No. 10 New Zealand (1-0) in the final pool game to secure a spot in the semifinals. The winner of the final match against No. 9 Japan earned a trip to Paris. After trailing for much of the game, the United Eagles triumphantly rallied back with two goals in the fourth quarter to win 2-1, qualifying for Paris 2024.

In Paris, the U.S. Olympic Women’s Field Hockey Team will compete in Pool B with Australia, Argentina, Great Britain, Spain and South Africa.
