The U.S. Paralympic Fencing Team will compete in nine events at the Paralympic Games Paris 2024 — individual and team events in women’s and men’s epee, women’s and men’s foil, and men’s saber Team USA is ready to showcase its talents with an exciting six-person squad that includes Tokyo 2020 Paralympian Ellen Geddes and five newcomers. Team USA is ready to make its mark on the Paralympic fencing scene as parafencing continues to grow in the United States.
Athletes to Watch
Ellen Geddes — Returns to the world stage after representing Team USA at the Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020.. A five-time Wheelchair World Championship team member, earned a bronze medal at the World Cup in Eger, Hungary, and won gold at the 2024 Wheelchair Fencing Americas Championship in Brazil.
Byron Branch — Two-time member of the Wheelchair World Championship Team, earned two gold medals at the 2024 Wheelchair Fencing Americas Championship in Brazil.
Jataya Taylor— After winning individual gold and silver medals as well as two team gold medals at the 2024 Wheelchair Fencing Americas Championship in Brazil, Taylor is looking to carry the momentum into Paris.
Noah Hanssen — At 24, Hanssen is the youngest on the 2024 U.S. Paralympic Fencing Team. But he has not let that stop him, he claimed gold in Men’s Saber Category B in the 2024 Wheelchair Fencing Americas Championship in Brazil.
