Affiliate Organizations

Per Section 16 of the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee Bylaws, eligible for Affiliate status are organizations that qualify under the following categories:

i. Community-Based Multisport

ii. Education-Based Multisport

iii. Armed Forces

iv. Recognized Sport

v. Adaptive Sport

These affiliate organizations take some active part in the administration of one or more sports or competitions on the program of a Delegation Event, administer other sports that are widely practiced in the United States and/or are organizations (patriotic, educational, or cultural) that are engaged in efforts to promote the participation in, or preparation for, amateur athletic competition.
