From a young age, New Jersey native Alex played soccer and developed an interest in the connection between athletics and philanthropy. After completing her Bachelor of Arts at Barnard College of Columbia University, Alex joined the American Cancer Society as the Special Events Manager. In 2012, Alex began her career at the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee, where she oversees the governance and experience of the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Foundation's Board of Directors and Trustee leadership groups.
Alex's first Olympic memory is of the legendary Muhammad Ali lighting the Olympic cauldron in Atlanta in 1996.
