    To achieve peak performance, you need access to cost-effective, premier healthcare. We know that navigating the complex and expensive healthcare system can be challenging and overwhelming. The USOPC Athlete Healthcare team is dedicated to helping you navigate this process and to provide comprehensive care and service. 

    Athlete Healthcare Navigators

    Not sure where to start? USOPC Athlete Healthcare Navigators are available to answer questions and direct you to healthcare resources available for Team USA athletes. From Elite Athlete Health Insurance (EAHI) to the Medical Assistance Fund (MAF) to the Medical Network (MN), athlete healthcare navigators can help you identify USOPC programs and support specific to your needs.     • Elite Athlete Health Insurance

      EAHI is a traditional health insurance plan available to eligible athletes and their dependents. This plan is administered through UMR (a United Healthcare company) that is custom tailored to meet our elite athletes' unique needs. Athlete premiums are 100% paid for by the USOPC. The plan covers a range of services: routine medical care, office visits, therapy & chiropractic care, diagnostic services, mental health (inpatient & outpatient), infertility assistance, durable medical equipment (DME), orthotics, prosthetics, pharmacy and vision benefits.

    • Medical Network

      The USOP Medical Network (MN) is a network of top-tier medical providers nationwide who provide specialty medical care to eligible Team USA athletes at little-to-no cost. Eligible athletes receive expedient, concierge service and high-quality care for injuries and illnesses. Additional programs and benefits include a dental and vision program, cost savings, continuity of care and athlete travel resources.

    • Medical Assistance Fund

      The USOPC's Medical Assistance Fund is used to pay for significant medically necessary or sport-related healthcare costs not covered by traditional resources. Eligible athletes may receive reimbursement, a stipend, or direct payment to a provider for approved expenses.

    • Global Travel Insurance

      The USOPC provides athletes and USOPC staff with travel insurance and assistance while traveling internationally through Zurich, facilitated by International SOS (ISOS). USOPC staff, athletes enrolled in Elite Athlete Health Insurance (EAHI), and Team USA delegation members are enrolled in this coverage automatically while traveling internationally.
