Chief Development Officer, U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC)

  • Christine Walshe is President of the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Foundation (USOPF) and Chief Development Officer of the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC). A lifelong advocate for the power of sport to unite and inspire, Christine leads the philanthropic strategy for Team USA’s athletes, advancing resources that fuel their journey to the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Under her leadership, the Foundation launched its first‑ever comprehensive fundraising campaign — a historic $500 million initiative designed to support Team USA athletes on the road to the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The campaign focuses on innovation in sport performance, health and wellness, and athlete career and earnings opportunities. The Foundation is tracking to far exceed its original goal, with significant growth over the prior quad — one of the most successful philanthropic growth periods in USOPF history.

Christine was recognized by Sports Business Journal with a “Power Players: Women’s Sports” nod for her leadership of the Foundation and her work to elevate women’s sports philanthropy.

Her nonprofit career began with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, where she supported the $300 million new symphony center campaign. She later joined U.S. Ski & Snowboard as its first Southeast Major Gifts Officer, helping raise more than $60 million for the Center of Excellence. In 2008, Christine joined USOPC to launch its major giving program, which evolved into the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Foundation in 2013.

Christine holds a bachelor’s degree from Warren Wilson College and a master’s degree in Sports Organization Management from Université catholique de Louvain. She and her husband Andy live in Los Angeles with their twin daughters.
