Gene currently serves as the Vice President of Philanthropic Giving for the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee. In this role, he directs and oversees the major giving program throughout the United States.
He is a former Division I athlete, having played basketball for Florida International University. He also played professionally for the Morris Revolution in the Eastern Basketball Alliance. Gene has also summited Mt. Kilimanjaro and is a multi-time Ironman and marathon finisher. His oldest son, Jordan, plays Division I basketball. Gene and his wife, Jenny, live in Colonia, New Jersey, along with their three children. His favorite Olympic moment was watching the Dream Team dominate their way to a gold medal at Barcelona 1992.
