Team USA Celebrates America’s Team As Athletes Prepare To Head To The Olympic And Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — With most of Team USA’s Olympic and Paralympic delegations officially named, Road to Tokyo, presented by DeVry University, is celebrating America’s team with engaging digital content for U.S. fans to enjoy as athletes embark on the final leg of their journey to the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020. 

 

Beginning July 4, fans will be introduced to the elite athletes heading to Tokyo as all Olympians and Paralympians are named to Team USA. Fans can celebrate America’s team alongside presenting sponsor DeVry University and associate sponsors Reese’s, Samsungand United Airlines across Team USA’s InstagramFacebook and TwitterRoad to Tokyo programming will also showcase Team USA athletes by highlighting their diversity of sport, skills and personal passions through a series of Roll Call videos featuring exclusive athlete-generated content. 

 

“This Fourth of July, we want to celebrate America’s team and highlight the amazing physical, mental and emotional effort U.S. Olympians and Paralympians have put into their extraordinary journeys to Tokyo 2020,” said Dave Mingey, Senior Vice President, Partnership Management and Activation at U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Properties. “U.S. Olympians and Paralympians have worked incredibly hard for the chance to represent the country this summer and we’re so excited to cheer them on as they go for gold.”

 

As part of the celebration, fans will have the opportunity to enter the Road to Tokyo Ultimate Fan Sweepstakes to win twenty prizes including Team USA-licensed merchandise from American Girl, Corkcicle, Hello Kitty, Honav, Nike and Reese’s, as well as a chance to win the grand prize, a $500 VISA gift card. One prize will be given out per day beginning July 4 and will run through the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games Opening Ceremony on July 23, when the grand prize winner will be awarded.
