COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC) today announced the appointment of Koby Langley as Chief Operating Officer (COO). Langley will report directly to USOPC CEO Sarah Hirshland and will relocate to Colorado Springs. His official start date is November 10, 2025.

As COO, Langley will serve as a key executive partner to the CEO, providing operational leadership and oversight across strategic planning, finance, information technology, procurement, and facilities management. His role will be pivotal in ensuring that the organization is structurally and operationally equipped for the “Decade of Sport” ahead—one that includes the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Milano-Cortina 2026, Los Angeles 2028, and Salt Lake City–Utah 2034. Langley will help drive the systems, processes, and organizational alignment that enable the USOPC to deliver for Team USA athletes and partners at every stage of this historic run.

“Koby brings a rare combination of operational expertise, strategic vision, and mission-driven leadership,” said Hirshland. “From his service in the U.S. Army to his leadership within the American Red Cross, Koby has consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to people and purpose. His experience leading complex, high-stakes organizations will be invaluable as we continue building a high-performing, inclusive, and athlete-centered team.”

Langley joins the USOPC after more than a decade with the American Red Cross, where he most recently served as the Division Vice President leading all Humanitarian Services in the Northeast Division. He previously served as Senior Vice President of International Services and Service to the Armed Forces. In these roles, he led large-scale operations and workforce engagement across multiple domestic and global regions.

“I am honored to join the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee and help advance its mission of empowering Team USA athletes,” said Langley. “The Olympic and Paralympic Movements represent the best of human potential and inspire us all. I look forward to supporting the people, systems, and culture that make that excellence possible every day.”

The COO role, which was previously combined with the General Counsel position, was restructured following the retirement of Chris McCleary. Langley’s appointment coincides with the arrival of William King, who joined the organization as General Counsel on October 13, 2025. Together, their appointments reflect the USOPC’s continued investment in operational excellence, governance, and leadership depth as it advances toward Milano-Cortina 2026Los Angeles 2028and Salt Lake City–Utah 2034
