Website, opens in a new tabBaltimore Adapted Recreation and Spots (BARS) provides year round adapted sports programs for individuals of all ages with disabilities and their families. All adapted equipment is provided while participating in programs to maximize success and independence. Programs take place in various locations throughout the state of Maryland.. BARS also operates the adapted skiing program out of Ski Roundtop in Lewisberry, Pennsylvania.
Bennett Blazers
Website, opens in a new tabThe Bennett Blazers Physically Challenged Sports Program has been providing opportunities for physically challenged children and young adults ages 2-21 to partcipate in sports. We are a full time program providing weekly classes and practices in wheelchair basketball, wheelchair football, handcycling, swimming, road racing, sled hockey, track and field, triathlon training and more. We have three wheelchair basketball programs, a ten foot "Varsity" team, 10 foot JV team and prep team. We are memebrs of the Eastern Junior Conference in wheelchair basketball and the Mid Atlantic Junior Sled Hockey League in Sled Hockey.

Website, opens in a new tabOur philosophy is to teach physically challenged athletes and their families "that they can before they are told they cannot..." Starting as early as possible, our youngest participants was 20 months old, we expose them to the widest array of sports opportunities possible and offer a continuum of development that extends all the way to the Paralympic level. Many of our athletes have gone to be successful at world and Paralympic level competitions. 5 Bennett Blazer alumni were members of the 2012 Paralympic team and we expect that number to grow in 2016 as several new athletes move into the Paralympic venue.
Catch A Lift
Website, opens in a new tabCatch A Lift is a non profit 501 (c)(3) organization dedicated to the healing of wounded veterans through physical fitness. CAL provides funded gym memberships to retired veterans who have been wounded in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. The vet may choose any gym anywhere in the U.S. - we want going to the gym to be as convenient for them as possible. Should a vet be unable to get to a gym or would prefer to work out at home, CAL will deliver in home gym equipment right to their door.

Established in 1956, Move United offers community-based sports recreation, education and competition that push people further, bring people closer and leave no one on the sidelines.
Salute Military Golf Association
Website, opens in a new tabThe SMGA's mission is to provide rehabilitative golf experiences and family inclusive golf opportunities for post 9/11 wounded war veterans in an effort to improve the quality of life for these American heroes. Eligible veterans include those wounded or injured in post 9/11 military operations, including those with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and/or Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).

Website, opens in a new tabIt is the mission of The University of Maryland Rehabilitation and Orthopedic Institute's Adapted Sports Program maximizes participation for individuals with disabilities in adapted recreational and competitive sports, in order to promote independence, self-confidence, health and overall well-being through structured, individual and team sports. Our program currently is home to the Maryland Mayhem, Quad Rugby Team, a wheelchair basketball clinic, golf clinic and tournament, and an annual Adapted Sports Festival that introduces participants to sports such as rugby, basketball, golf, scuba, fencing, tennis, boccia, cycling, wheelchair slalom, and more.
VETSports

Our organization encourages all veterans with disabilities to participate in physical activity and engage with their community as a member of local sports team.
