    Our mission is to promote community awareness of, and to create and provide access to opportunities for individual and team sports programming for adults and youth with physical disabilities in order to enhance quality of life. the program also offers introductory clinics for sport and recreation opportunities one to two times per year, as well as weekly events.

    The Great Plains Chapter Paralyzed Veterans of America is a non-profit organization that has dedicated 40 years to helping its members and their families, as well as people with disabilities across the state of Nebraska. Great Plains PVA strives to provide a unique blend of educational, vocational, social, and recreational activities. This work is part of our mission, part of the help PVA provides to those who have given so much. PVA is at the forefront helping and advocating for the rights and benefits of people with disabilities.

    Madonna Rehabilitation Adaptive Sports and Recreation Program

    Madonna's Adaptive Sports and Recreation Program enhances one's life through participation in sports and recreation by leveling the playing field. A wide range of adaptive sports opportunities are offered for children and adults of all abilities to participate and/or compete in as varied activities as the rest of the community. Participants try new sports and recreation opportunities at their comfort level and explore new ways of doing previous activities.

    The Adaptive Sports Program introduces student athletes to the game of wheelchair basketball through a competitive environment. This format is designed to use the team concept to engage university students with a disability who have an interest in sports.
