Sean Shapiro

Based in New Jersey, Sean serves as a resource to Team USA supporters on the East Coast. Prior to joining the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Foundation, he served in development roles with the U.S. Soccer Federation, Stupid Cancer and New York University. Sean played many sports growing up in Nashua, New Hampshire and the suburbs of Philadelphia, but has been most passionate about ice hockey, soccer and skiing. He also played club lacrosse at Penn State.

Sean's favorite moment in Olympic & Paralympic history is the Miracle on Ice. Though it was before his time, he has a meaningful connection to this historic victory for Team USA having won a gold medal with his underdog team in the 1997 CAN/AM Hockey Tournament on the same ice in Lake Placid.
