• To help launch the Thank You, Japan campaign, Aoki participated in the Symposium on Accessibility on Oct. 21, 2019, in the city of Setagaya. He went on a tour of the Setagaya shopping district to observe accessibility improvements made by the city and gave a lecture on the current state of accessibility in the United States.
• He will also star in the Team USA Manga series. The series was created by a local Japanese artist and will be released in the spring of 2020. 
• On what excites him about Japan: “Everything! The culture, the people, the food, I can’t wait for it all. I am hoping to check out the Robot café in Tokyo, and I want to eat all the sushi and ramen I can handle. I also want to get shabushabu, sukiyaki, and experience and authentic teppanyaki restaurant as well. I love Japanese food!

• On what excites her about the Tokyo 2020 Games: "I think it is the first time in history where the Olympics and Paralympics are really, really talked about together. I'm very excited for Tokyo 2020 and I think it's going to be the best Paralympics in history".

• On why it is important to build bridges of friendship with athletes and fans from other countries: “Sport is a universal language. It doesn't matter what sport is being played because anyone from any race, religion, creed, political beliefs, and so on can come together to compete against each other and hold each other with the highest respect. During most games/matches fans can sit next to each other and cheer for opposite teams and have a great time building trust and potentially friendships despite not being able to speak the same language.”
