Media Accreditation Process Open for Pan American Games Santiago 2023

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee is pleased to open requests for media accreditation to the Pan American Games Santiago 2023 – taking place in Santiago, Chile from Oct. 20 - Nov. 5, 2023. U.S.-based press organizations must apply for accreditation via the application form by March 15, 2023, to be considered for the initial allocation. The application, as well as additional details, for the Pan American Games Santiago 2023 can be found here.
Please note that any requests submitted after March 15, 2023, will not be eligible for first round allocation and will be added to a waitlist.
The process is open to:
- Daily or approved weekly newspapers
- National news or sports magazines
- Web-based organizations with staff members providing original content
- Non-rights holding broadcast outlets (television and radio)
All accreditation requests must be submitted by an authorized representative of the news organization. Only one application per organization will be accepted.
All requesting organizations must be based in the United States and meet the guideline standards included on the registration site. Outlets based outside of the U.S. must reach out to the National Olympic/Paralympic Committee in the country where they reside to apply for accreditation through their country’s process or contact Santiago 2023 directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The USOPC receives a limited number of accreditations for allocation. You will receive a confirmation email after submitting to keep for your records. After the Press by Number process concludes, the Press by Name for Santiago 2023 will open in April 2023. We will share allocation results before the Press by Name process begins.
Media wishing to attend the Games must have a valid passport through May 2024.
