REMINDER: Media accreditation process closes tonight for Parapan American Games Santiago 2023


COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – A reminder that the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee will be closing requests tonight for media accreditation to the Parapan American Games Santiago 2023 – taking place in Santiago, Chile from Nov. 17 - Nov. 26, 2023. U.S.-based press organizations must apply for accreditation via the application form by 11:59pm MT on July 28, 2023, to be considered for the initial allocation. The application, as well as additional details, for the Parapan American Games Santiago 2023 can be found here.  

Please note that any requests submitted after July 28, 2023, will not be eligible for first round allocation and will be added to a waitlist.

The process is open to:

  • Daily or approved weekly newspapers 

  • National news or sports magazines 

  • Web-based organizations with staff members providing original content 

  • Non-rights holding broadcast outlets (television and radio) 

All accreditation requests must be submitted by an authorized representative of the news organization. Only one application per organization will be accepted.  

All requesting organizations must be based in the United States and meet the guideline standards included on the registration site. Outlets based outside of the U.S. must reach out to the National Paralympic Committee in the country where they reside to apply for accreditation through their country’s process or contact Santiago 2023 directly at

Following the Press by Number deadline of July 28, media outlets will be notified of their request status on Aug. 2, 2023. Media outlets will need to respond with the names of those on their staff traveling to the Games by Aug. 9. The Press by Name process for Santiago 2023 will conclude on Aug. 16, 2023. 

Media wishing to attend the Games must have a valid passport through May 2024.
