USOPC Announces Partners, Venue Change for U.S. Paralympic Team Trials – Track and Field

by USOPC

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLORADO – The United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee today announced new partners and an alternate venue for the 2024 U.S. Paralympic Team Trials – Track and Field, which will now be hosted at the Ansin Sports Complex in Miramar, Florida. A part of the recently announced Making Team USA platform presented by Xfinity, fans will get unprecedented access to celebrate and understand athletes on their sports journey to the Paralympic Games Paris 2024. In addition, Toyota will return to support the U.S. Paralympic Track and Field team as an official Supporting Partner of Team USA Paralympic Trials. The competition dates will remain July 18-21, 2024, as originally announced by the USOPC last year.

“Toyota is proud to join the USOPC as a Supporting Partner of the Team USA Paralympic Trials in 2024” said Dedra DeLilli, Group Manager Sponsorship Marketing, Toyota. “We are looking forward to cheering on all competitors this summer as they look to secure their spot on Team USA and punch their tickets to Paris 2024.”

The state-of-the-art Ansin Sports Complex features a newly renovated FTX Mondo running track identical to the 2008 Olympic and Paralympic track in Beijing, China. It has a seating capacity of more than 5,000. The venue has previously hosted the nation’s top Para athletes at the 2022 U.S. Paralympics Track & Field National Championships.

The 2024 team trials for Para track and field will serve as the Team USA selection event for Paris 2024 for all Para track and field events except for the marathon. Four U.S. wheelchair racers – Tatyana McFadden (Baltimore, Maryland), Aaron Pike (Park Rapids, Minnesota), Daniel Romanchuk (Mount Airy, Maryland) and Susannah Scaroni (Tekoa, Washington) – already punched their tickets to Paris via the 2023 TCS New York City Marathon.

The long-awaited trials will be shown across Team USA and NBC platforms as well as open to the public as the final opportunity to watch the country’s most elite Para athletes compete before the team travels to the Games. For broadcast information and ticket sales, which will be announced in the near future, visit the U.S. Paralympic Team Trials – Track and Field website.
