Team USA Athletes' Commission Resources

Team USA AC is committed to empowering athletes. As part of Team USA AC’s 2025-2028 Strategic Priority for Athlete Advocacy, we have developed resources to help athletes navigate the ever-changing world of sports. This page serves as a hub for tools and education designed to help athletes maximize their potential in all areas

Athletes should contact an attorney to obtain advice with respect to any particular legal matter

Endorsement Checklist:

  • Team USA AC in conjunction with an attorney specializing in complex sports law matters, developed this checklist to assist athletes when they are presented with an endorsement deal. This checklist may be used by athletes as a resource before they sign any endorsement deal to make sure all key provisions are reviewed thoroughly, and that the athlete fully understands the rights they are granting sponsors when they sign a deal. This checklist, to the extent possible, is designed to apply across a range of endorsement opportunities, although in each case careful consideration should be given to the nature of the deal as some of the points on this list may not apply.

  • Endorsement Checklist Webinar :  This webinar provides education around key provisions athletes should be aware of when signing an endorsement deal and walks through how to use the Team USA AC endorsement checklist.

Agent Selection Education

  • This resource is designed to help athletes understand the critical role that agents play in their careers and how to choose the right representation.

Having the right agent can make a significant difference in an athlete’s career, from securing fair contracts to building a strong personal brand and planning for life beyond competition. A good agent provides industry expertise, negotiation skills, and strategic guidance while acting as a trusted advisor and advocate. Whether it’s navigating sponsorship deals, financial planning, or second-career opportunities, understanding how to select the right agent is key to long-term success.
