Diplomatic Boycott of the Beijing Games

The United States Olympic & Paralympic Athletes’ Advisory Council (AAC) applauds the decision by the Biden Administration of a diplomatic boycott of the Olympic Winter Games and Paralympic Winter Games Beijing 2022, and it appreciates the administration’s support of Team USA. The AAC fully supports Team USA’s participation in the Beijing Games, as evident by a unanimous vote of its representatives against a complete boycott of the Beijing Games in May 2021. The AAC stands vehemently against any instances of human rights abuse around the globe.
