Team USA University Experience
The United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC) and the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado, are pleased to propose a unique opportunity for your university – the Team USA University Experience. We invite students and professors to join us in Colorado Springs to immerse themselves into the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic movements by staying on complex at the CSOPTC while learning from current staff about their roles in supporting Team USA, both on and off the field of play.
While staying on complex, your group will benefit from having all facilities within a 300-foot walk. Enjoy three buffet-style meals a day in our athlete dining hall, relax in our comfortable accommodations and take advantage of our state-of-the-art strength and conditioning center, which sits on 37,000 square feet.
University experiences are uniquely crafted to fit the students’ focuses: sport management, communications, kinesiology, diversity and inclusion, etc. Colorado Springs is home to the USOPC headquarters, the flagship training center and 23 of the 50 national governing bodies, so speakers and session topics are vast and high-level. Looking to dive even deeper? Sport experiences, special projects and a networking reception are among additional program options.
The opportunities in Colorado Springs are endless. We’d love to host your university for a gold-medal experience. We hope to make your time at the CSOPTC unforgettable!

2019 Texas Tech University
“On behalf of our university, the grad program within the College of Media & Communication, and our Texas Tech Team USA Experience students, thank you for the time and the expertise that you shared with our students. It is an experience that none of us will ever forget. Your efforts contributed to one of the best, most transformative and comprehensive learning experiences, imaginable. Training communication students in a classroom simply can't replicate what your voice lent to the educational process and we appreciate the time you spent with us so very much.”
Amanda, Bowling Green State University faculty
“I wanted to send a quick note to thank you for organizing our BGSU group experience at the USOPC. I, as well as our students, really enjoyed experiencing the training center and learning about a variety of areas within the USOPC. I was an unbelievably amazing week and we all learned so much.”
Kayla, Northern Illinois University student participant
“Before this opportunity, I was unsure of exactly what I could do with my master’s degree in Exercise Physiology, but after listening to each speaker I realized how many different paths my degree can take me. This was an eye-opening experience for me and I am so grateful for everything you and the other Team USA members did for us.”
University of Central Florida faculty
“Visiting the OPTC really tipped the scales! We always enjoy visiting college athletics departments, professional sports teams, minor league sports teams, and sport management and marketing organizations, however, the OPTC experience was unique ---- filled with a high level of meaning!”
